About the project

Colonel’s House is a unique renovation project in the heart of Riga’s Quiet Centre, at P. Brieza street 15. The project consists of two neoclassical buildings forming an enclosed courtyard with convenient parking for cars and bicycles.

The buildings were originally built in 1939 by A. Durbach. While preserving its historic facade, the building has been completely renovated with new building systems to meet modern technology and ensure a high standard of living.

Renovation work has already started and the apartments will be ready to welcome their new owners in spring 2026. The developer River Properties specialises in the renovation of pre-war buildings, combining more than 15 years of experience in real estate development. Among the best known projects are Barona 6, Perses 2a, Barona 30a, Miera 5 and Ranka dambis 31, which received the Latvian Architecture Award for facade renovation.

Colonel’s House also features renowned architect Dita Lapiņa and interior design studio Komare, who aim to combine the elegance of modern living with the historic charm of the building.
